I figured out this trick over 10 years ago. The Listerin kills everything on the nails that doesn't belong there. It doesn't even need to be on for long. You wait half a minute for the water to warm up for the shower anyway.

Nogo: Of course I tried making a foot bath with Listerine. I put a bottle like this in a basin and diluted it with water. The foot bath itself is not bad. You simply have blue or green feet for three days afterwards. The feet feel very good despite the color change.
